Confusion and Focus

It’s amazing how you can think you are speaking the same language and yet really mean two amazingly different things. I just learned that though we’ve made love, a person I was very much in love with wasn’t in love with me, and actually felt only platonic affection toward me. I find it amazing how many things people think the words “I love you” mean. So I need to think long and hard about what it means to say I love you to someone and what do they really mean when they say those words back. I’m sure that Yasmin will have me thinking long and hard about it, because I know what I mean when I say I love her.

At home at last….

So the big and little news of this last week is that Yasmin has made me her ward, placed me under her protection, and so made me at last part of the family again, where I belong. I say where I belong, but I mean that, having friends is nice, having family is more important. It is such a large part of who we are as people, who our family is. I can take enormous pride in Yasmin’s extreme kindness and compassion. I think I want to comment too on the importance of being part of a family of people that really do care about one another. I’ve heard many things this week, nonsense really, about past events in our family’s life and people saying some not so nice things about Yasmin. I want to say here in my blog that I love and adore Yasmin. That talking to her one on one is like having someone talk to your soul. I want to say I think it’s sad that some people are so envious or hurting that they have to disparage Yasmin, when really they want to be there with us adoring her. The funny thing is that I have seen her time and again accept a sincere apology. But the most interesting thing has been how quickly we all are there to support each other when someone attacks the family.*shrugs* But to move on to focus on joyful things, I continue to develop what I hope is a strong caring friendship with Val and Malv, I’ll write more about them later, I think they deserve their own entry.

Okay so thought for the day….. never rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles!!!

the nature of submission

I wanted to write a little on the nature of submission. I think there are some incorrect beliefs, misconceptions about submission, well the whole D/s relationship. What I wanted to say, from my perspective, is that submission is all about giving power over. To do that, one MUST create power within themselves, that means being strong spiritually/mentally/physically. Also, it’s a daily gift, it isn’t something you just say “once upon a time” and then go on your merry way. It is a repeated act, it may grow easier with time as you become more accostomed, but truly it isn’t an instantaneous thing. There will be ups and downs, and for me the hardest part…. we won’t talk about the hardest part here, I want to focus on the positive and on observations. I’ll write more on this later.

A brief introduction…

Wow, my very own blog. Well my profile says much, but I guess I’d repeat much of what I said there. I’ve been in SL about 2 1/2 years…. I guess that makes me a dinosaur….I’ve had two Mistresses in that time, both of whom I still care about very much. The second, and more recent is Diomita Maurer. She and her wife Jen are still very much apart of my life, they will always hold a special place in my heart. Time heals all wounds, I hope that is so and that my friendship with them is stronger than it ever has been. I am also close to Yasmin Heartsdale, as she is Diomita’s Mistress, and so am close to all of the Brats. I can be wild and crazy or quiet and introspective. I can situationally Domme, but am more content spiritually as a sub. I am NOT looking for a new Mistress, that will take an awful long time before I do that. But I am friendly, and love to meet new people, so feel free to say hello, and if you’ve read my blog, let me know.
